What are unrelated cost of switching to Linux you know?

I just realized I need to use bigger storage of icloud for backups if I move to fully linux, Which costs yearly forever.. Because I cant backup via itunes in Linux and I dont trust any other software for encrypting the iphone locally.

What are costs you can share that costs because some software is not supported?

Graphics drivers roulette

Will this update get me over 30 fps, or break my ability to boot into a GUI?

There's only one way to find out ;)

For me, it is wanting to implement something myself takes time not because the said thing is complicated but because of the inertia. I have been sitting on a 3-2-1 sync + backup solution for months now.

I do have hope that this delay goes down as I keep implementing things.

libimobiledevice[1]'s idevicebackup2 can backup iDevices the same way iTunes does.

Yes there are options but no way I can trust this with my phone data. :) I guess oone option would be cut the network, then backup. After that I nuke the linux? and restore from backup each time.

It's encrypted/decrypted on the phone if you enable encryption (like iTunes).

If this is a concern, you could use a VM without network access to make the backup
